Alessandro Novello received the Hans-Eggenberger-Award 2024
Dr. Alessandro Novello has been honored with the Hans-Eggenberger Award 2024 for his outstanding research on fully integrated DC-DC converters during his PhD studies at EECIS.
The award recognizes his exceptional research track record, including his proposal of a new fully integrated DC-DC architecture using electromagnetically coupled class-D LC oscillators. His work has achieved the highest switching frequencies above 2 GHz and power densities exceeding 4 W/mm². The award of CHF 100,000 will support his continued research on the DC-DC converter for highly dynamic SATCOM systems.
