PhD from Korea joins EECIS Mid-September
Seungki Hong joins our team from Korea, where he currently holds the position of DRAM Circuit Design Engineer at Samsung Electronics.
Seungki obtained a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from Korea University in Seoul, followed by a Master's degree in Computer Science from the Georgia Institute of Technology in the United States.
During his undergraduate studies, he pursued additional coursework in Semiconductor Devices and Semiconductor Manufacturing Technology at Seoul University.
Subsequently, as a graduate student, he participated in the IonQ Challenge at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. His contributions included designing a data loading scheme that efficiently encodes images into a quantum state, as well as developing a quantum circuit for classifying the encoded images.
